Well for my first son, I picked neutral colors because I knew I would have a second child and figured if the 2nd was a girl, then I could use it for both, so t was a pretty light green and ecru color with plaid patterns on one side and stars and moons on the other.
My 2nd ended up being a boy as well. I got good use out of it. Now that they are both out of their cribs, they now have big boy sports themed bedding :)
